She is breaking all sorts of records with her new album – “25”. Adele just topped Beyonce, as the artist with the fastest selling album on iTunes. “25” sold in excess of 900,000 copies on iTunes on the first day of its release.
(As of yesterday) In its first three days of release, “25” has already sold at least 2.3 million in pure album sales in the U.S., according to Nielsen Music. At that rate, industry forecasters say she could finish the week with 2.9 million sold.
This album is already only the 2nd album to sell more than 2 million copies in a single week since Nielsen Music began tracking sales in 1991 (NSYNC’s No Strings Attached).
