Shia LaBeouf is at it again! Shia is hanging inside of a an elevator for the next 24 hours and live-streaming it on the internet. This #ELEVATE experiment is the latest art performance from Shia, sparking conversation about the Oxford Union debating society. The elevator is located at EC Oxford, an English language course centre in Gloucester Green.
The public is welcome to use the elevator and hang with Shia for the next 24 hours.
“Visitors will be able to join Shia , Rönkkö & Turner (performance artists) inside the elevator during this time,” writes the Union. “[They] are invited to address the artists, the debating chamber, and the internet, so that their collective voices may form an extended, expansive, and egalitarian Oxford Union address.”
At this point, Shia LaBeouf is way more popular in the art world right now then he is as an actor (He’s made a single movie in each of the last two years.)
