The Hospice Re-Sale Shop – otherwise known as Worth Repeating – is a non-profit thrift store that supports the Prince George Hospice Society with the proceeds it makes from the sale of donated items like furniture, housewares, toys, and more.
This shop provides residents with an opportunity to find new homes for second-hand items, and as one of the main contributors to the Hospice House, it provides every-day funding that makes the Hospice services what they are today.
This year, the Re-Sale Shop held a new kind of fundraiser: making use of donated items that were unable to be sold in the store as second-hand items, and would thus be just thrown away or recycled.
The Hospice “Rage Room” found a new use for these items: breakable outlets of frustration for residents of Prince George.
Residents were invited to book an appointment where both minors (accompanied by an adult) & adults could let loose some frustration by breaking and “raging” in a safe & protected way.
Whether shopping day-to-day with the Re-Sale Shop, or taking part in their other fundraisers, the Hospice Society would not be able to provide the services they do for the community without the Shop’s support.
The Hospice Re-Sale Shop can be found at 3051 McGill Crescent, Prince George, BC
