Black Diamond Bowl & Billiards offers a space for the entire family to enjoy bowling, billiards, & darts in the community.
In addition to offering the games, Black Diamond has worked to make sure the activities remain available to everyone in the community through programs like their “Kids Bowl Free” initiative.
Every summer, children can sign up for free & get 2 free games of bowling all summer long, where the only cost is that of renting shoes. An adult package is also offered at Black Diamond, allowing all circumstances an opportunity to enjoy the activity.
In addition to their internal programs, Black Diamond also works to support other organizations in town, offering opportunities with groups like AiMHi, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC, UNBC, and more.
Even through restrictions & the pandemic, Black Diamond Bowl & Billiards continued to keep their programs ongoing and their workers employed with as many hours as possible. Supervisor Candice Hansen says it was worth it just to see the smiles on people’s faces as they enjoyed a game. She states “people need something to do. You can’t be stuck doing nothing. Everyone wants to feel at home when they’re somewhere, they want to feel welcome”.
Black Diamond Bowl & Billiards works to be that welcoming place for many members of our community, and looks forward to continuing to serve Prince George.
