Back in 2020, Black House Bakery’s baker Robyn saw a need for more baked good options in the community for those dealing with gluten-sensitivity. As a celiac herself, Robyn saw the options available, and decided to try her hand at baking to help expand the range of baked goods she could eat. After perfecting a cinnamon roll, she knew it was time to launch Black House & bring the products to the public.
Through markets & fairs, Black House Bakery has worked to become more & more involved in the community, and continues to grow as a business. Come October, Black House will be expanding to full time baking, and is looking to be added to the stock of other restaurants and bakeries in Prince George. They are also looking forward to increasing their rate of deliveries to the community as they see their popularity continue to grow – even with those that are not dealing with any special allergy.
