2. He comes from a BIG hockey family

Quinn is the oldest of the 3 brothers who all play in the NHL. His brother Jack was the 1st overall pick by the New Jersey Devils in 2019 and the youngest brother Luke was the 4th overall pick in the 2021 draft also selected by the Devils.  His mother Ellen Weinberg-Hughes played for the United States women’s national ice hockey team and his father was the director of player development for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

3. He is the 15th Captain in Canucks franchise history

The hockey club made the announcement at 8:15am on Monday September 11th with no warning. If you look closely at the captaincy announcement you’ll notice they’ve left out the most hated Canucks captain of all time…Mark Messier.
