PRINCE GEORGE—Meet Paco, the eight year old dog who is currently looking for his new retirement home.
This Labrador Retriever/Corgi cross came into the care of the North Cariboo B.C. SPCA as a stray and quickly got to snuggling up to the care attendants, and hanging out with the other dogs.
Paco is quite calm around wildlife when going for walks, while having an interest in ducks he doesn’t bark or pull on the leash.
Being older he does require a bit of extra care requiring a special diet due to his allergies and ongoing medication to keep him active in his enviroment.
“He’s also allergic to metal,” explains Alyssa Mackeen. “So, the spots on his back where he’s missing some hair, he was wearing a metal harness or a harness that had some metal on it when he came to us. We’ve been giving him only plastic dishes here just to not bother his allergies.”
If you would like to be ‘Furever Friends’ with Paco you can visit the North Cariboo B.C. SPCA or apply online.
