2 minutes cost me 4 hours. I was on a trip to Vancouver Island. Things were great, had fun hiking, saw some waterfalls, attending a wedding. Even the places we stayed were better than expected. What could go wrong, right? Well, GPS went wrong. While making our way back to the lower mainland, I put the wrong location into my GPS. Instead of “Departure Bay Terminal”, I entered “Departure Bay”, which turns out to just be a street, 5 minutes out of the way. This meant we were late to the ferry terminal by 2 minutes, missing the cut off by mere minutes. We were now in the “Stand by” category, delaying our trip by 4 hours. I tried to explain that we were given the wrong directions by GPS but that wasn’t giving us any chance to get our reservation back. What excuse SHOULD I have used?
