There’s a chill in the air! Coldsnap 2025 returns February 5-9!
The board and staff of Prince George Folkfest Society are delighted to announce the lineup for Coldsnap 2025. The 18th annual Coldsnap – the prince george winter music festival will take place from February 5th to 9th, 2025. Audiences can expect amazing live music events in a variety of venues across Prince George every day of the festival!
The festival schedule and lineup of exceptional performers are now available on our website and will be updated as we finalize all the details. We get things starting on Wednesday, February 5th at Knox Performance Centre with Breaking the Ice. The soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics of Mama’s Broke and John Wort Hannam will surely melt even the frostiest of hearts. Folks ready to tear up the dance floor won’t want to miss our Cutbank Ceilidh on Thursday the 6th with high-energy fiddle-forward tunes from Beòlach and Jocelyn Pettit! Our Sunday mainstage, Roots & Reverie with Kaia Kater and Sechile Sedare on Sunday the 9th is absolutely unmissable! Prepare for an inspiring evening of soulful performances, with each artist bringing their unique blend of folk, roots, and blues, weaving stories of resilience, love, and identity. T he rest of the fest will feature artists from across Canada with the likes of The Hearts, Cat Clyde, Kobo Town and more!
This year, we are presenting TWO ticketed Coldsnap for Kids afternoon performances. We will feature the amazing percussion of Robin Layne & The Rhythm Makers on Saturday, February 8th, followed by Coldsnap alum Ginaline on Sunday, February 9th.
Night Owls who enjoyed last year’s Late Nights at the Legion will be pleased to hear we are presenting three this year – February 6th will have everyone Pickin’ & Grinnin’ with The Slocan Ramblers and Under the Rocks. On February 7th, Sonic-Subterranean will feature Miesha & The Spanks and Wax Mannequin. February 8th will end the night with Dream Waves with St.Arnaud and The Garrys!
We are also excited to bring back our free-to-attend, daytime IceJam and Workshop series throughout the festival that make Coldsnap one of the most anticipated cultural events of the year.
Another exciting addition to Coldsnap 2025 are brand new festival passes! The festival pass includes admission to ALL main-stage concerts at the Knox Performance Centre and the Royal Canadian Legion. These are available in limited quantities at $99 (plus taxes and fees) – so get ‘em while they’re hot!
