The cause of Monday’s plane crash of a Delta Air Lines flight upon arrival at Toronto’s Pearson airport remains under investigation.
The Canadian-made regional jet was landing after a flight from Minneapolis when passengers say it hit the runway hard, rolled and ended up on its roof.
The airport’s chief executive says all 80 passengers and crew on board survived and escaped the wreck, but 18 people were hurt.
Pearson’s fire chief says the runway was dry, although data shows wind gusts of 65 kilometres per hour were blowing snow at the time.
