After many seasons of Alone set in the Canadian Wilderness this summer survial show is headed to Africa!
Season 12 of Alone is set to be one of the most intense yet, as survivalists are dropped into the Great Karoo Desert in South Africa—a first for the series. This season will test contestants with searing heat, foul water, unpredictable storms, and dangerous wildlife, including warthogs, venomous snakes, baboons, Cape buffalo, and wildebeest.
The History Channel has confirmed that Season 12 will premiere on June 12, 2025, with new episodes airing Thursdays at 9 PM ET/PT. A special episode, “Before the Drop,” will introduce the ten survivalists and air at 8 PM ET/PT on the same day.
As always, contestants will be completely alone, equipped with only ten survival tools and camera gear to document their journey. The last person standing will win the $500,000 cash prize.
