Apple is finally jumping into the foldable phone world with the iPhone Duo, its first iPhone that opens up like a book.
When it’s closed, you’ve got a smaller 5.4-inch screen for normal phone stuff. Open it up and there’s a huge 7.6-inch display inside — basically giving you a mini iPad that still fits in your pocket.
Apple has also packed it with the new A20 Pro chip, a 48MP camera system and a titanium body. The bigger screen is designed for multitasking too, so you can have two apps running side-by-side.
Now for the painful part: the price.
In Canada, the iPhone Duo starts at $2,999 CAD for 256GB. Jump to 512GB and it’s $3,299, while 1TB will run you $3,899.
And if you absolutely need 2TB of storage in your phone? That model is $4,799 CAD.
Yes. Nearly five grand for an iPhone before tax.
Pre-orders open Friday, October 16 and the iPhone Duo officially hitting stores on Friday, October 23.
