By now you’ve heard that Taylor Swift is doing a star-studded pro-LGBTQ video for her song “You Need To Calm Down,” ANDone rumor out there is that Katy Perry is involved.
The big rumor is that Katy and Taylor actually kiss in the video and some fans are saying Taylor is “gaybaiting” and the kiss shouldn’t be a part of the video.
Taylor SWIFTLY responded to the rumor and said, “Guys. That is absolutely false. To be an ally is to understand the difference between advocating and baiting. Anyone trying to twist this positivity into something needs it isn’t needs to calm down. It costs zero dollars not to step on our own gowns.”
The video was released at 5:15 this morning (and has about a billion celebrities in it)….

[Verse 1]
You are somebody that I don’t know
But you’re takin’ shots at me like it’s Patrón
And I’m just like, damn, it’s 7 AM
Say it in the street, that’s a knock-out
But you say it in a Tweet, that’s a cop-out
And I’m just like, “Hey, are you okay?”[Pre-Chorus]
And I ain’t tryna mess with your self-expression
But I’ve learned a lesson that stressin’ and obsessin’ ’bout somebody else is no fun
And snakes and stones never broke my bones[Chorus]
So oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh
You need to calm down, you’re being too loud
And I’m just like oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh (Oh)
You need to just stop, like can you just not step on my gown?
You need to calm down
