Scrapbook Zone is a locally-owned small business that offers crafting classes, guidance, and supplies for the hobby of scrapbooking.
Located on 18th Avenue, Scrapbook Zone has worked to become an accessible and welcoming place for individuals of all capabilities. The shop strives to help those new to the hobby and needing extra pointers & suggestions to discover a love of crafting, and grow the store’s circle of friends through scrapbooking.
Scrapbook Zone also goes the extra mile to support those with disabilities that are looking to enjoy the building of a scrapbook; ensuring their business provides an accessible introduction to scrapbooking no matter the circumstance. Scrapbook Zone has been working with AimHi to hold classes once a month and introduce individuals within AimHi to the art of the hobby through the creation of cards & other crafts, providing an artistic outlet for those in the community.
Anna Beguin, owner of the Scrapbook Zone, stated a favourite part of the business was the opportunity to “help those having a bad day find their happy place”. Anna treasures the opportunity to continue making friends that share her hobby, and enjoys the visitors from out of town that pop in just to say hi to the team.
Outside the walls of the business, Anna & the store have also been a supporters of the community through their work with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets & the Navy League Cadets. With Scrapbook Zone, Anna has assisted the organizations by holding regular paint nights and helping to create posters for the groups, assisting in both fundraising and volunteer hours to help these organizations continue to operate in PG.
Scrapbook Zone is located at 3899 18th Avenue in Prince George.
