Handsome Cabin Boy Tattoo is a tattoo studio featuring 15 years of experience & specializing in large pieces like sleeves and leg pieces. With experience in realism, traditional, neo-traditional, fine-line, bold, colour, & black/grey work, Theresa Sapergia has been helping Prince George to achieve a high-quality tattoo right here in the community.
Sapergia explains, “there’s a tremendous amount of trust when someone asks you to make lifetime marks on them”. This relationship has helped her to make comfort and safety a priority for the clients that come in to Handsome Cabin Boy Tattoo, with community members citing the positive & helpful atmosphere the studio brings in.
While 2021 was a tough year for most businesses, Handsome Cabin Boy’s year was especially difficult after an arson burnt their shop to the ground last year, sending Sapergia & her apprentice to work from a private studio & begin rebuilding the $200,000 in damages.
A testament to the studio’s impact on the residents & the area – it wasn’t long before Prince George residents jumped at the opportunity to help. GoFundMe drives, fundraisers, and even Bone & Biscuit, a pet food store in the community, all helped to raise funds to assist in getting Sapergia & the business back on the saddle again. The help from Prince George has even worked as a muse for Sapergia, inspiring her to work on a design featuring Prince George’s most prominent figure.
Theresa Sapergia explains she is working on a “pretty epic” sleeve of Mr. PG for a Prince George resident that has her very excited. With a positive attitude, she explains that she “really likes having downsized and getting to focus completely on my client & I the whole time”.
