Events sure aren’t the same since Chuck Chin passed away last January.
It was rare that Chuck wasn’t at a community event with his camera in hand, and his wife Sue not far behind. I got to know Chuck back when I was FunChaser. We would run into each other at events ALL THE TIME. I always tried to make it a point to get a picture of him, because he always got pictures of me chasing all the fun in Prince George.

The 40th Annual Jeanne Clarke Local History Awards will be happening on Sunday, February 23rd at the PG Conference and Civic Centre. Chuck will be the recipient of the 2025 Jeanne Clarke Local History Service Award, recognizing all his dedication to promote and preserve community history.
You can find out more details about the event here.

I miss Chuck a lot. Events aren’t the same without him, but I know he’s with us at every single one of them.
