MY ROCK
Let me start off with saying that I could never be able to fully tell someone or show someone how much I truly love my mom-Darlene Anne Espenhain. Then I will tell you first about what my mom has done for me. I had a child at a young age, my mom even though she was disappointed to hear that I was pregnant she was there every step of the way, being fully supportive. She was there for me when ever I needed her (and this was a lot). She and my dad had allowed me to continue living with them until I was able to get on my own two feet. She has been and will always be the best grandmother in the world. She absolutely adores both of my children and would do anything for them. My dad pasted away 5 years ago and my mom lost her soulmate. It was a terrible and horrifying time in my family's lives. My mom, even though she was in pain continued to be the rock for myself, my brother and my sister. My dad has a big family and he has impacted a lot of people in his life whom my mom continues to be grateful for. I can not explain how much of a selfless person she truly is. She will always make sure that everyone else is okay and lend a hand if she can. She has had family close to her that have passed away recently (her mother (Anne) and her sister-in law (Holly). My mom has always been my rock, my savior, my shoulder to cry on and my best friend. She has the kindest heart that I have ever seen. She has as well given me the opportunity to build my own house for myself and my children. These are just a couple of things in my life that she has done for me. She continues to put everyone else first and thinks of herself last. My mom lets us all know how much we mean to her all the time and there is nothing that I can say or do that will show her how much she truly means to me, so I would like to take this opportunity to give her the chance to meet Theresa and maybe be able to connect with the ones she has lost. Thank You for taking your time to read a short story about my mother.
Sincerely,
Nichole Espenhain-(Darlene's youngest daughter)
