The Kindest Heart
I feel like first of all, every mom is deserving of winning this contest as being a mom is definitely one of the most difficult jobs there is!
However I do feel like my mom is especially deserving of winning this contest for many reasons. She was a single mother of 3 children and worked extremely hard while also doing her best to raise us. My sister was diagnosed with severe autism at 2 years old and is now a grown adult at 22, and every single day with her is a challenge. But my mom doesn't look at it that way. She honestly looks at it as a blessing and I feel like it's really helped shape her to become the amazing mother and person she is today.
She was previously employed by St.Vincent de Paul and has helped countless people in this community. Even though it was her job, I know that she genuinely enjoyed helping these people. She is now employed at The Prestige Treasure Cove Hotel. She really goes above and beyond for her guests everyday and takes pride in doing so. She is also always offering to do things for coworkers and friends, such as making food and baking for their parties, baby showers, etc. I have seen her stay up until 2am doing things like this. She of course never asks for anything in return, but I know that the joy she sees on these people's faces afterwards means everything to her.
My mom has not only been there for all of us kids our entire lives, but for so many others as well. She is also now an amazing grandma to my 3 year old daughter. She has struggled so much and still does, but you would never know it. She has such a positive attitude towards everything and always has a smile on her face. She is truly such a genuine, considerate and selfless person. So much so that if she were to win this gift basket, she would probably end up giving it to someone else's mom! Lol, kidding but not really! She truly is that person. I look up to her in so many ways and strive to be as incredible of a mother as she always has been and always will be.
