The most amazing woman I know
The question you ask, why does my mom deserve this requires a very lengthy response. And I'm not entirely sure I can adequately put it into words but I will do my absolute best.
Let me start at the beginning, my mother was born and raised in Prince George. She is the youngest of twelve, nine girls and three boys. Her family bounced around a lot, both of my grandparents drove truck and my mom was mostly raised by her older siblings.
My mother had two real relationships in her life, one with the father of my three siblings, whom she married, at the age of twenty-two just after the birth of my oldest sister. Their marriage lasted eight years, it was a long and damaging experience for all involved. He was controlling and mentally abusive. After my brother was about two she finally walked away and never looked back. A year later she ran into my father, they had met several years before but weren't in a position to make anything work between the two of them. A few months after her thirtieth birthday they had me. Her and my dad finally split after I was seven and she found out he was cheating. He left her alone with four kids and a broken house she couldn't afford.
My mother is the strongest human being I've ever met. She worked her ass off trying to take care of four broken hearted children, to make sure we were fed, housed, clothed and knew we were loved while making it look like she was completely fine.
I don't know how it truly was for my mother, I do know it couldn't have been easy. She worked three jobs to keep us afloat and sometimes even that wasn't enough. Some nights we didn't have power but she always tried to make it fun, we would all camp out in the living room making blanket forts and playing board games by candle light. These nights are some of the best memories I have of the five of us actually.
There was one night in particular that I will never forget, she had to fix the furnace the week before so we didn't have any money. We had no food left in the house except for some stuff to make pancakes, and she went hungry that night to make sure we all got enough to eat.
My mother sacrificed a lot for us, to make sure we were happy and healthy. Working as hard as she did, she still made it to almost every sporting event, talent show, Christmas concert and award ceremony we ever had. She was always there when we needed her. She's our champion, our hero, our protector and our kick in the ass when we needed it. Shes always been there when we fall and she has always stood by our side, no matter what. To say she is my best friend is an understatement. She is the most amazing person I know. I'm almost twenty and she is still protecting me. She would do anything for her children and now for her grandchildren.
Shes not only an amazing mom but she is also hard working and dedicated to her job. She is now a department supervisor at Home Depot, where she shows her customers the same dedication she gives her children. She will move mountains to make sure her customers are happy.
My mother deserves for you to treat her because she is a strong, stubborn and hard working woman with an incredible sense of humor and morals to boot, who would run through a burning building for the people she loves and never gives up. I love my mother more than I can put into words and I appreciate everything she has ever done for me, God knows I didn't make it easy. I hope you seriously consider her because in my eyes she deserves the whole world and I wish I could give that to her. Thank you for the opportunity and consideration of my mother Denise Cade.
