for the love of my life
My moms name is Veronica Saul.
She is well known in the community for various reasons.
She is very active within the church. she has spent countless hours helping to set up and organize events; such as funerals, weddings, concerts, as well as endless fundraisers. March 2016 she spent 3 weeks in Africa, ((her second trip there)) which she fund raised towards for 3 years. While abroad she helped many rural families, orphans, communities, and schools.
She doesn't just help abroad though. A couple times a week she is cooking meals for homeless people, downtown, at the "street church". My mommy puts together care bags for those in need, and will spend her day off walking the streets and blessing those who may need it. As well, she works full time, running her own daycare. When she isn't helping to raise and teach these young children, she is devoting her time and love to those in need.
Monthly she holds a Community Dinner at the Cornerstone Community Center (on the hart hwy, formally known as the hart Pentecostal church). she cooks a free meal for anyone in the community to come to and just socialize and get to know who lives near by. Upwards of 100 people come! She spends a week getting ready because she has to buy a lot of groceries, and other stuff for the day. As well, she'll spend a full day and a half to clean the diner hall, set up, prep and cook the meal and desserts and then be sure everything is ready. Afterwards she will stay late cleaning up and preparing for the next day.
My mom is a great friend, she is selfless and never hesitates to lend a hand. she offers before being asked, and even if her plate is full and someone else asks her to do something, shell make it work. My mom has done so much for everyone else, never asks for, or expects anything in return. She has no problem dropping anything for anyone, whether you need help with something, or just need to talk.
My mom has been married for 25 years and in that time raised me and my 2 sisters. Through my teenage years i got myself into some bad situations but she did everything in her power to help me and support me even though she probably wanted to kill me. My mother is the true definition of "mama bear". She has protected us, nurtured us, loved us, disciplined us, and ALWAYS been there even when things went wrong.
I love my mom so much, i don't know what i would do without her, or what a lot of us would do without her. she holds us together and is our rock, even when she is sick or thrown her back out.. she has been in and out of the hospital due to various issues, and i believe its because she loves so hard and is always on the go. she doesn't take enough time for herself and doesn't get spoiled the way she deserves.
i believe my mom deserves to win because she is an overall amazing woman, who could use a blessing like this! xox
